Distilled in Woodford County, Ketucky on a site where distilling is said to have started as long ago as 1797. The current still house was built in 1838, although the distillery has not been in constant production and most of the new plant and still were installed in 1993 after a 25 year long period of closure. It is unique amonst Bourbon distilleries in that it uses pot stills sourced from Scotland.
