Greenspot Pure Pot StillGreenspot is a 100% pure pot still whiskey that can trace its roots to the early 1900's, when Jamesons sold whiskey to wine merchants Mitchell & Son.
The current bottling made at Midleton from 7-12 year old pure pot still whiskey, with 25% coming from sherry casks. Made in very limited quantities it is highly prized by both drinkers and whiskey writers. 'Nose: Mouth watering and fresh on one level; honey and menthol on another. Stunningly attractive. Palate: Crisp, mouth watering with a fabulous honey burst. Alarmingly sensuous. Finish: Coffee intertwines with the pot still. The thumbprint thread of honey remains. Comment: More honeyed than of old. Soft yet incredibly complex throughout. Unquestionably one of the world's great whiskeys.' Jim Murray Whisky Magazine.
‘Green Spot is to the true Irish Whiskey drinker what an Irish Round Tower is to the archaeologist’ - Jim Murray
