Greenspot is a 100% pure pot still whiskey that can trace its roots to the early 1900's, when Jamesons sold whiskey to wine merchants Mitchell & Son.

The current bottling made at Midleton from 7-12 year old pure pot still whiskey, with 25% coming from sherry casks. Made in very limited quantities it is highly prized by both drinkers and whiskey writers.

This is a tremendous whiskey, sometimes giving a sweet-honey feel more associated with Perthshire malts from Scotland. But the pot still is confident enough to confirm this as Irish with a maturity greater than the age of the whiskey used.
