This is indeed a truly wonderful whiskey, from its rich creamy nose to a full bodied whiskey that never dies. Each time you revisit you just keep finding something new. This is definitely one to stock up on before it runs out.

Which, if my memory serves me correctly, is a feature of the mere mortal 40% bottling.

Absolutely brilliant!! Its not just the strength although there are a few whiskies that are so enormously affected. No it’s the immediate balance with the grains

Going in strong, but of such high quality and rich character that the gentle bourbon persuasion continues; softly oiled, very lightly malted, that the arrival of the Drier oak offers the perfect bitter-sweet foil….

Long, chocolate, rich and sophisticatedly spiced, just so wonderful to come across a full strength blend.

Better still when that blend happens to be as quite Beautiful of character as this.

A hot whiskey all right: this should be burning away into most blend lover’s homes. Quite exceptional to be sure.
