Rosebank distillery was closed in 1993 and bottlings are becoming scarce. A classic Lowland, with delicacy and finesse without ever becoming boring. Floral and fresh with an attractive zing, it is a delightful springtime or summer dram.
Tasting Notes from Dave Broom, Whisky Magazine
Nose: Fragrant. Light fruits, fresh pear, creamy and zingy - ginger beer? There's smoke and a hint of green, sappy sticks.
Palate: It rolls nicely in the mouth. Elegant, with little spikes of flavour: nut , grass and flowers laid on top. Light and delicate. Soft, clean and quite floral.
Finish: It all zips into life at the end.
Comment: This remains a cracking dram
