Tastings & Tours

We run a series of popular tasting events which usually take place on the last Thursday of every month. We can also organise private tastings, corporate events and whiskey tours etc.

Our yearly whisk(e)y tour to Scotland is a popular event and usually sells out well in advance (see below for details on this year's tour)
Details of our upcoming tasting events are below. Tickets must always be bought in advance.

Islay Whiskey Trip 2016

Monday 3rd October - Friday 7th October

Distilleries we’ll visit include Bowmore, Isle of Jura, Bunnahabhain, Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Kilchoman, Bruichladdich, Springbank & Glengyle

The cost of the trip is €1250.00 and covers all coach, ferry, accommodation, distillery tours & tastings, lunches & dinners.

All the accommodation at the Bowmore Cottages is made up of double or twin rooms so I’m afraid there is a single room supplement of €50 per night.

It doesn’t include travel to and from Glasgow airport (Ryanair currently have very cheap flights), breakfasts (the accommodation has its own kitchens), bar bills, drinks with dinner or travel insurance.

To secure your place on the trip, we require a non-refundable deposit of €600. The balance of €650 must be paid 2 weeks in advance of the trip. To book a place feel free to call into the shop, phone us on +35316759744 or emailtastings@celticwhiskeyshop.com.

The following is an approximate itinerary and if for any reason changes have to be made or distilleries omitted for reasons out with my control there won’t be refunds. However, in all previous 10 trips, we’ve never missed a distillery stop. The trip will be strictly limited to 24 people as some of the distilleries won’t take larger groups. Depending how many people want single occupancy the later bookers might have to stay in alternative B&B accommodation but you’ll be informed at the time of booking. First come first served.
