Making Techniques Vinification in open tanks with capacity for one, two and four tons, to be able to keep the sectors and clones being vinified separatelly. The grape was cold macerated for 7 days before fermenting to achieve a slow extraction of the color, flavors and aromas from the skin, then during the fermentation, the remontage and pressing techniques combine to favour this extraction. Wine then placed French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation takes place for 12 months before being bottled.

Robert Parker 91 Points The 2010 EQ Syrah comes from the Rosario locality in San Antonio with 40cm of loam soil. It has a rounded, more extroverted fruit driven nose than the Coralillo with blackberry, cassis and crushed stone. The palate is medium bodied with firm, grainy tannins that are quite stern but complement the pure, tarry black fruit that is well defined on the finish. This is a classy chilean Syrah that should age well over the next decade.'
