Released to celebrate the opening of Ireland's newest and smallest whiskey distillery. The old distillery at Kilbeggan is now home to a pair of pot stills, one of which is said to have been made over a hundred years ago. Recently it was refurbished and fired back into life. This Kilbeggan 15 year old is a super premium blended Irish whiskey and will only be released in limited amounts (1000 bottles).

Stop press: Kilbeggan 15 Year-Old Finest Irish Whiskey has been awarded the title of 'Worldwide Whiskey of the Year' by thr International Wine & Spirit Competition. The judges gave the following tasting note; 'The intense nose lets you know immediately that you have a fine whiskey in the glass. Lots of ripe fruit to start followed by a great array of sweet malt, citrus and spicy aromas including vanilla and cinnamon. Beautifully rounded mouth where all the promise on the nose shows in rich flavours. A slight yet attractive, toasty, smoky character threads it's way all through from start to finish. Fine oak in the background. Great balance and elegance. A super whiskey.'
