Bladnoch

Bladnoch sadly closed in 2014 with the current owners going through a period of receivership. It is hoped that a buyer will be found to purchase the distillery as a going concern and most recent rumours suggest that Isle of Arran Brewery may be the most likely new owners. It has always been a small distillery and has just two pot stills, although when historian Alfred Barnard visited in 1887 it had three stills suggesting it once produced triple distilled malt. It produces a classic Lowland style of whisky that is delicate and smooth.
