Miltonduff
Miltonduff is a large distillery that was originally founded in 1824. It is located to the south west of the city of Elgin in the heart of Speyside. The vast majority of its production has gone into blended whisky however a few single malts appear from time to time. At one time it also made an unusual malt named Mosstowie. This was distilled in Lomond stills (pot stills with rectifier columns for heads), but it was discontinued in the 1980s. Miltonduff is owned by Pernod-Ricard and is their second biggest Scottish distillery after Glenlivet. There are 6 pot stills and it is capable of producing 5,500,000 litres of alcohol per year.
