Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green | |
Nose | A very interesting blueberry bouquet with hints of smokey oak and black cherry. |
Palate | Full bodied, nicely balanced, and savoury. The flavour profile is of mild blackcurrant with a gentle streak of integrated minerality. We also detected hints of blackberry as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and fruit flavours show nice length. Very classy! |

Wine Enthusiast | 94 Points. ‘This low-production Cab defines Stonestreet's mountain vineyard, high above the Alexander Valley. It's very tannic now, with the drying astringency that marks a young wine. Given the fruity concentration, it should have no trouble ageing for 10–15 years. High elevation fruit yields an amazing combination of cassis, minerals, tannins and acidic freshness. Drink 2020 and beyond.’ |
