Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green
Nose Clean and straightforward on the nose, showing a beautiful identity. It is intense and concentrated with notes of red and black fruit - with a predominance of blackcurrants.
Palate The texture on the palate is supple, concentrated and balanced: the tannins are fine. Notes of liquorice, menthol, garrigue, bay leaves, blackcurrants, and spices. The wine shows marked minerality with superb fruit. A very delicate wine.

Awards and/or Press Quotes
Decanter 87 Points. ‘An interesting blend of 50% Mourvedre, 25% Grenache and 25% Syrah that comes from the limestone and gravelly soils of the Terrasses du Larzac appellation. Aged 14 months in a combination of new, once used and twice used barrels, it has a spicy, peppery, menthol and black raspberry scented personality as well as medium-bodied richness, juice acidity and a clean, straightforward personality.’
Jancis Robinson 17.5/20. 2014 - ‘Not pronounced, but distinctive nose: pomegranate and beetroot, orange peel, guava. Glossy intensity spreads across the palate filling all corners of the mouth with reverberating layers of flavour. Clenched with tension and intent, ambitious, beautifully balanced, tannins smouldering in the background, no single component dominating. Strong, spiced finish. Almost long, and then it just fades a tiny bit too quickly for so much delivery. Drink 2016-24’
