Verona is a wine sub-region of Vinito, located to the west of the region. It is most famous for its Valpolicella. This is a viticultural zone east of Lake Guarda. Valpolicella ranks just after Chianti in terms of total DOC wine production. The red wine known as Valpolicella is usually made from three grape varieties: Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara.
