Jean-Luc Baldes Cahors Probus 2012
This wine is a tribute to Roman emperor Probus, who allowed people to plant the vineyards in the area. It is elegant, dense, and concentrated Malbec, that is made to age gracefully. Black fruits on the nose and palate are harmoniously balanced with spices and oak. Full-bodied with fine tannins and a long persistent finish. Excellent paired with duck, game, or strong blue cheese.
