Vignoble Gibault Touraine Chenonceaux Sauvignon BlancIn 2011 , Touraine Chenonceaux AOC became its own Appellation. The AOC runs along the Cher River for 10 miles in either direction of Chenonceau village. Mild slopes of limestone define the terroir. Only a dry white (sauvignon blanc) and a dry red blend (malbec, cabernet franc, gamay) are allowed. After racking, it is aged in stainless steel tanks for 10 months on fine lees.
