Making Techniques The grapes we have selected for this wine come from the vineyard located in the middle of our Popoli estate. It is a very cold area during summer nights and extremely windy during the day. The soil is particularly reach of stones and extremely dry and thin. In such conditions, the grapes mature slowly and accumulate perfumes together with high acidity levels. Valle Reale Cerasuolo aims at distinguishing itself for its cleanness and complexity of perfumes. Its freshness is noticeable, accompanied by thin but persistent structure. Due to its cold production area, the alcohol content is not too high. The high acidity levels typical of this region make this wine pleasant and long-lived. Its main feature is a fragrant perfume of sour cherry.

Cellaring/Ageing Potential best to be drinked the year after, even if it shows ageing potential for a year or two
Awards and/or Press Quotes
Wine Advocate 89 Points The 2009 Cerasuolo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo flows from the glass with a ripe, round core of fruit that caresses the palate with notable length and beauty. Stylistically, the Vigne Nuove is more about ripe generous fruit than aromatics. Clean mineral notes frame the elegant, refined finish. More importantly, though, this is a fabulous wine for the money.'
