Equipo Navazos La Bota de Palo Cortado no 47

37.5 cl

Gaspar Florido kept in his cellars an amazingly old wine. I was older than he was. A true gem of a wine, an extraordinary beverage that was marketed under the brand name "Ansar Real" almost with an eyedropper and at a very high price, nevertheless proportional to its rarity and to its out-of-this-world quality.

Jancis Robinson 18/20 'Approximately 80 years old. Burnt amber colour. Intensely nutty with walnut, polished wood, and savoury bitter caramel but without sweetness. This is almost too concentrated to bear. Eyewatering intensity and complexity. Take very small sips. A little bit of heat on the finish. Monumental and worth a higher score for its impressiveness but I'm not sure it is as enjoyable as wines just a little less concentrated. Sour and bitter on the finish adding to that concentration.'
