Luis Gutierrez (Wine Advocate) | 'It is a young sweet Pedro Ximenez from sun-dried Pedro Ximenez grapes from Montilla-Moriles sourced from the Perez Barquero winery. It displays a dark mahogany colour and an explosive nose of raisins, sugar cane, dates, candied oranges and spices (curry and clove). The palate shows a very dense wine, sweet but fresh (it has around 420g of sugar!) showing some noble oxidation. It feels a little older than it is.' |
