The 2008 Muscatel Cask is a limited edition rare cask finished, cask strength (56.4% ABV) and non chill filtered Irish single malt. It represents a bold new step for Bushmills. After maturing for almost eight years in oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels, Helen Mulholland, Master Blender, finished this whiskey in rare muscatel cask.

| Nose | Good from the start. Roasted hazelnuts, nutella, peanut toffee, toblerone, white grapes, fresh apricots, pears, toffee apples, pineapples and other tropical fruits. |
| Palate | Juicy, sweet, syrupy and incredibly fruity. Lots of tropical notes- pineapple, mango, guava and starfruit followed by more nutty and chocolaty flavours. |
| Finish | The fruit becomes more grape-like and juicy with some hints of lychee and kiwi. Packed with more-ish and complex flavours. Very good. |
