Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green
Nose Intense nose that registers clear mineral notes of graphite and dark fruit, with slightly balsamic nuances towards the end.
Palate The taste is very soft and enveloping thanks to the sweetness of the tannins. The typical acid vein of these grapes, that gives a pleasant sense of freshness, also gives to the wine a dynamic taste that makes it better to appreciate the structure and the depth. In the long finish the mature nuances of the fruit of the bouquet return.

Making Techniques The grapes come from vineyards in Popoli and in Capestrano. Both vineyards benefit from wide temperature ranges between day and night, which foster high acidity levels. Even if the two areas have different soils, the stony component, typical of mountain regions, characterises both vineyards. In both pedo-climatic conditions, the Montepulciano matures really slowly and maintains the good acidity and perfumes of small red fruits. The spontaneous fermentation applied to different selections of grapes has allowed the winery to obtain the uniqueness of their wines, something that only a mountain area is able to express.
