Penderyn Madeira Cask
Unique for so many reasons. This is the core expression from Penderyn and has been finished in Madeira barrels after an initial maturation period in ex-Bourbon casks. Penderyn uses an unsual Faraday still, which was designed by a decendent of the illustrious Michael Faraday. This type of still combines a pot still with column head with a second rectifying column. For those who know their pots and columns it is a little like a Lomond still combined with a single Coffey still. This results in a highly rectified high strength spirit that reaches 92% ABV.
Penderyn claim to only produce one barrel per day, so this is quite rare stuff.
