Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green
Nose Pronounced aromas of ripe black cherries, fruits of the forest, and some touches of mint, eucalyptus and mediterranean herbs.
Palate Dry and medium- to full-bodied with good, ripe tannins and well balanced acidity. Well structured but with enough fruit to back up the tannins. Displays flavours of spiced black fruits, ripe hedgerow berries, damsons, black cherry liqueur and chocolate. Great complexity and balance, with good length and depth.

Awards and/or Press Quotes
Wine Enthusiast 87 Points. ‘Aromas of black currant, menthol, oak and vanilla lead the nose. The extracted, one-dimensional palate offers prune, blackberry extract, dried sage and tobacco alongside extremely raspy, astringent tannins that dry out the palate.’
Wine Spectator 91 Points
James Suckling 92 Points
Vinous-Antonio Galloni 92 Points
