Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green
Nose Very enticing on the nose with aromas of freshly baked bread, summer hay, lemon, lime and pineapple.
Palate Medium dry and medium bodied with good but not racy acidity. Delicious ripe flavours of pineapple, crystalised dried fruits, mango, red apples and citrus peel. Lots of complexity and ripe fruit flavours. Forget about the low alcohol, this is all about fruit and delicately balanced sweetness and acidity.
Colour Pale lemon in colour

Tasting Panel 92 Points ‘Known for their slate-driven qualities, the Rieslings produced along Germany's famed Mosel River are among the best in the world when it comes to minerality. But the best of the best is the Scharzhofberger Vineyard holding, one of the most famed along the Mosel (Saar), where elegant wines with tremendous balance burst forth from the weathered grey slate soil. Championing the potential of Scharzhofberger Riesling, Bischöfliche Weingüter's grapes ripen to perfection on steep south-facing slopes, resulting in a rich, ripe Riesling that's as perfect as it is powerful. With great ageing potential, this complex Riesling is a majestic representation of the Mosel/Saar terroir - a true classic.’
