Robert Parker 91 Points The 2006 Vin Santo Sam Niccolo is a relatively light and moderately sweet dessert wine. Light, honeyed notes, flowers and spices are some of the nuances in the glass. This is a decidedly understated, elegant Vin Santo that is ideal for readers who prefer a fresher and less heavy dessert wine than some of the richer versions that can also be found. Castellare's Vin Santo is 60% Malvasia and 40% Trebbiano aged five years in the traditional small Vin Santo barrels known as caratelli.'
