Barbeito Malvasia 40 Year Old 75cl Vinho do Reitor

75cl

A gloriously rich and complex Malvasia that has been produced in honour of Angelo Augusto da Silva.

Ângelo Augusto da Silva was born in 1896, in São Vicente, on Madeira Island. He graduated in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Coimbra and began his professional activity in Aveiro. He was appointed dean of the Liceu Jaime Moniz in 1924 and again in 1930, a post he held until reaching the age limit. For this tribute Ricardo Diogo chose, amongst his favourites, the best Malvasia wines aged in our warehouses over the last 40 years, by the traditional Canteiro method, to which he added much older ones. In August 2018, 717 bottles were filled, all individually numbered.
