Sangiovese is the main grape variety in Tuscany. It is famous for making wines such as Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino but is common throughout parts of Italy and also in countries such as Argentina, the USA and Canada. It's wines usually display high levels of acidity with flavours of red and black cherries and moderate to full tannins.
