Cava

Cava is spanish sparkling wine. It is produced using the same method as Champagne, but with different grapes. Cava is in fact far closer to champagne in tasting terms than Prosecco.It can therefore be considered great value for money. Macabeu (referred to as Viura in Rioja) is the pimary grape used to produce cava, along with Xarel.lo and Paralleda. Combined they make a well balanced fruity sparkling wine that is less sweet than Prosecco but not as nutty as vintage champagne.
