Deanston

Built in 1965 in the buildings of a former cotton mill which has a water turbine providing power for the entire distillery. Deanston is now owned by Burn Stewart who in turn are owned by Angostura International. Only 15% of the make goes into single malt bottlings with the rest being used for blends such as Scottish Leader and Black Bottle. The distillery has four stills and produces 3,000,000L of alcohol per annum.
