Dufftown

Dufftown was founded in the town of the same name in 1896 and was converted from the buildings of a former mill. It used to be Diageo's bulk distillery making larges amounts of malt for blending purposes although it has now been surpassed by a handful of larger distilleries. As a single malt it retains a relatively low profile and most of the production still goes into blends such as Bells. It makes around 5,800,000L of alcohol a year and operates six stills.
