Glenrothes

Confusingly Glenrothes Distillery is nowhere near the town of the same name but is actually in the town of Rothes in Speyside. It was founded in 1879 and up until recently has only released the single malt in 'vintage' bottlings. Glenrothes is a major component of the Cutty Sark blend and currently has 10 stills producing around 5,600,000L of alcohol per year.
