Oban

Oban is thought to have been founded in 1794 and is quite unique for a Scottish distillery being situated in the centre of a town. It is therefore restricted from further expansion and have only ever had two pot stills. Production capacity is also limited and most Oban goes straight into Diageo's own official bottlings with only a handful of independent releases. Oban was one of the original members of Diageo's classic malt range and annual production is limited to 670,000 litres per year.
