Royal Brackla

Brackla, or Royal Brackla was one of the first distilleries to receive a royal warrant when King William IV decided in 1833 to make it his whisky for the Royal Court. It was founded in 1812 on the estate of Cawdor Castle and is now owned by Bacardi. It was closed in 1985 but reopened in 1991 and operates four pot stills.
