The Achill Island Single Malt PX Special Edition is a beautifully crafted Irish whiskey that showcases both innovation and tradition. Aged for five years in Oloroso sherry butts and finished in rare Pedro Ximénez Spínola 1918 casks, this limited-edition release captures the rich influence of sherry wood in every sip. Only 1,127 bottles were produced, making it a true collector’s piece.

Bottled at 44% ABV, this expression is a luxurious showcase of sherry cask maturation and Irish craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green
Nose Rich aromas of polished oak and soft leather unfold alongside sumptuous dried fruits, pecan nuts, dark chocolate and a delicate hint of orange zest.
Palate Layers of sweet sultanas, raisins and figs blend seamlessly with stewed orchard fruits and bright citrus. Notes of treacle, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg bring warmth and depth, leading to an elegant, lingering finish.
Finish Long and indulgent, with raisin, fig, dark treacle and nutmeg carrying through beautifully.
