On the night we will be following the footsteps of Masataka Taketsuru on his journey that shaped the history of Japanese whisky. The night will begin with a taste of sake as Masataka was the son of a sake brewing family. We will then cross the seas to Scotland where Masataka went to further his knowledge of the industry. We will taste two recent bottlings from distilleries that Masataka worked as an apprentice. Longmorn & Hazelburn.

He then brought his knowledge of distilling back to Japan where he helped pioneer the creation of Japan's first whisky distillery, Yamasaki, before making his dreams a reality and opening his own distillery. Whiskeys on the night
