Charbonniere Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Mourres des Perdrix
A refined single-vineyard cuvée from the “Mourre des Perdrix” site in Courthézon. Traditional blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault grown on a mix of red clay, rounded pebbles and sandy marl soils. Hand-harvested with careful sorting, the wine is gently extracted and aged in a combination of large oak vats, barriques and demi-muids. The result is a balanced and expressive red, showing aromas of ripe berries, subtle spice and hints of garrigue. On the palate, it is smooth, layered and earthy. A complex wine supported by soft tannins and a fresh, lingering finish. Ideal with roasted meats, game or mature cheeses.
