A fantastic vintage from Bordeaux legend Jean-Luc Thunevin and Jean-Roger Calvet. The 2018 Thunevin-Calvet Constance focuses on vineyards in Maury's famed black schist soils, this area of Southern France is warm and rugged like Chateauneuf du Pape, producing wines that are equally dark and brooding. Packed full of notes of black raspberry and plum fruits as well as peppery garrigue, licorice, and spice notes, and velvety tannins.
