A 100% Merlot from the Lalande de Fronsac area. The vineyard was purchased by Jean-Luc Thunevin in 2006 and comprises of 13.5 hectares with an average vine age of 40 years old. The wine is classic Merlot and features some well considered ageing for 11 months in new oak (50%) and concrete tanks (50%).

Vinous Media Antonio Galloni | 89-91 points The 2020 Domaine Virginie Thunevin is silky, aromatic and wonderfully inviting. Crushed flowers, mint, rose petal, sweet red cherry and leather open with a bit of coaxing. The 2020 is maybe just a touch compact, but it is also quite attractive.
