Masseria Cuturi Chidro Primitivo di Manduria

Modern style organic Primitivo grown on clay and limestone soils in Manduria, the historic heartland and benchmark appellation for the variety. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a long 25-day maceration in stainless steel to extract colour, flavour and structure. The wine is then aged for one year, partly in French oak tonneaux and partly in cement tanks to create balance. Deep ruby in colour, it offers intense aromas of blackberry with a mineral, savoury backbone and subtle notes of tobacco and clove, supple tannins and well-integrated oak.
