A luxurious and limited edition single pot still by the iconic Midleton Distillery that's bound to be the centrepiece of many whiskey collector's shelves. Just like the ruby is considered 'the gem of gems' this whiskey lives up to that name and standard. This exceptional single pot is an accumulation of four decades of experience from the Master Distillers who have guided the distillery since 1984.
This 40th Anniversary Ruby Edition is a single pot still expertly distilled, produced, and matured to commemorate four decades of excellence. At first, succulent fruits are met with pot still spices, imparting notes of freshly grated ginger and clove oil. The oak's soft tannins combine with a nutty character. Notes of flaked almonds and nutmeg are wonderfully balanced by the seasoned port cask's contributions of ripe berry fruits, cassis, and dark chocolate.
