Mount Gay XO Rum

Mount Gay XO, aged in ex bourbon barrels and double cask finished, has sufficient dried tropical fruit, vanilla, oak spice, and sweet molasses complexity to reward neat drinking in a glass at room temperature. Mount Gay Eclipse, the entry level expression, performs best in a Rum and Ginger or Rum Sour where the light spirit character benefits from the structure of a mixer. The Black Barrel expression, finished in heavily charred bourbon barrels, sits comfortably between the two formats.
