Vigne Surrau

Vigne Surrau is a new venture with age-old roots. Located in the north east of Sardinia making superb Vermentinos. The main values attached to the company’s involve a combination of traditional winemaking techniques and modern innovation. Tradition is used as a guide in picking grape varieties to be cultivated (Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, Carignano and Muristellu). When picking materials for new winery, tradition was greatly considered: wood, stone and glass are united in a very modern style of architecture featuring contemporary design elements which contribute to creating a distinct "stage setting” for the winemaking process. Meanwhile, innovation leads their winemaking where using state-of-the-art equipment and experimental techniques.The very modern, almost minimalist company logo and wine labels depict a stylised mountain that represents the company’s strong bond with the region of Gallura. The inspiration for this image came from the mountains of San Pantaleo, which are such a characteristic part of the Arzachena landscape.
