Kilkerran 12 Year Old Single Malt
70cl
Finally we have a Kilkerran 12 year old! After a bunch of highly impressive 'Work in Progress' bottlings we now have a permanent release of aged Kilkerran. This is made using lightly peated malt and is aged in 70% bourbon casks and 30% sherry casks. The result is an impressive single malt that is packed with flavour but is also extremely drinkable.

Tasting Notes from Celtic Whiskey Shop and Wines on the Green | |
Nose | A little more smoke than expected. Classic Campbeltown brine and sea spray with some notes of cooked pineapple, sultanas, apple sauce, apricot and citrus. |
Palate | A lovely mix of coal smoke, tropical fruits, golden syrup, grape jelly, sultanas, grilled pineapple, apricots and caramel toffees. Possibly one of the most complex 12 year old malts around. |
Colour | Bright gold with the faintest hue of green. |
