Auchentoshan
One of the few remaining Lowland distilleries and the last in the South of Scotland to practice triple distillation. The name Auchentoshan means 'corner of the field' in Gaelic, yet the distillery now sits amongst other industries in the expanding area of Clydebank. Despite being triple distilled it tends to have a lot of body even in younger age expressions, the 'Three Wood' bottling is particularly good if you like big, sherried whiskies. Auchentoshan has three large stills (one wash, one intermediate and one spirit). It is currently owned by Suntory.
