Gin Mare is a Mediterranean Gin which combines botanicals from various cultures around this region to create an unusual and distinct cahracter. It includes botanicals like Basil from Italy, Thyme from Greece, Romero from Turkey and Citrus from Spain. Base botanicals Juniper coriander and cardamom all grown on the distilleries own farms. The name gin 'Mare' comes from the phrase 'Mare Nostrum' a universal concept to describe the special culture which exists in this part of the world. It includes a love for food, the pleasant climate and a lifestyle where time runs differently than the rest of of the world!

Making Techniques Gin Mare is created with the craftsmanship and the Mediterranean times, with the aim of achieving an exceptional gin, from its base premium barley, through delicate maceration and separate distillations of each botanical (some as the case of citrus carry a process more than one year) to harmonise copyright blending that allows everyone to express their botanical all features in the final product.

Gin Mare's defining botanicals, Arbequina olive, rosemary, thyme, and basil, are Mediterranean in character and respond best to a Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic, which mirrors the herbal and mineral notes. Serve in a large balloon copa glass over cubed ice, garnished with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a slice of Arbequina olive or lemon. Avoid citrus heavy tonics, which compete with rather than complement the savoury, herbal profile this gin is built around.

Yes. Gin Mare is distilled in a small chapel, the Capilla de Santa Clementina, in the village of Vilanova i la Geltrú near Barcelona on the Catalan coast of Spain. The chapel was converted into a distillery by the Marco family, who produce Gin Mare in small batches using a 500 litre copper pot still. The Mediterranean botanicals including Arbequina olives grown on the Marco family estate, rosemary, thyme, and basil, are sourced locally from around the Mediterranean basin.
