This Irish Single malt whiskey is matured and finished for over 5 years in casks using oak wood species as the key differentiator in flavour delivery. Quercus Petraea - the "Irish Oak”, most commonly used for brandy and wine production. Crolly distillery has chosen to source the wood from Slovenia which is synonymous with Italian wine production, traditionally said to impart a slightly sweeter characteristic than their French counterparts. Includes a presentation gift box.
