Currach Single Malt Atlantic Wakame Seaweed Western Herd Cask Finish

Introducing a rather exciting limited edition: Currach Single Malt Atlantic Wakame Seaweed Western Herd Cask Finish! For this exciting release, Currach have partnered with Western Herd Brewing Co. to create a bespoke bottling exclusively for the Irish market. Made from 100% Irish malted barley, this triple distilled single malt Irish whiskey was matured in first fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in Atlantic Wakame seaweed charred virgin American oak casks. The whiskey then underwent an additional finishing in a cask seasoned with Western Herd’s award-winning Flora & Fauna Double IPA to create a truly unique expression. Expect wonderful earthy, pine and pineapple notes to the unique briny yet sweet maritime notes and green tea undertones that the Wakame charred casks provide.
