This is a rare 40 year old whisky which was distilled at Glenglassaugh in 1973. Stuart Nickerson a previous managing director of the distillery sourced a single refill sherry hogshead which yielded just 298 bottles. The Malt Whisky Co. is a new venture set up by Nickerson with the aim of releasing very special single cask whiskies, of which this is the first edition.
