| Taste | Dry and tannic. Very much like an old sherry. The alcohol is soft and takes a backseat. Refined and mature flavours of walnuts, roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate, leather, licorice, old oak, chewy toffees and PX sherry. There are a lot of oak flavours but the brandy spirit just manages to shine through it all, it's a close call with the wood coming back on the finish! |
| Nose | Intense and developed- you can smell the age and the old barrels. Prunes, chocolate raisins, old oak, licorice, cold coffee, exotic spices, cinnamon, roasted nuts, rum 'n' raisin ice cream. |
