Introducing this 100ml bottling of what was the first launch from Stillgarden Distillery! Created using traditional pot distilled gin and vacuum distilled spirit made from fresh mint and lavender grown in their reclaimed gardens in Dublin 8. The final recipe was blended and decided on with the help of their community of Social Botanists that planted the plants in the garden. FAQs
The standard Irish spirits measure is 35.5ml, established under Irish Weights and Measures regulations, which is one third larger than the UK standard measure of 25ml. This means Irish whiskey measures are meaningfully more generous than those served in Britain or most of Europe. In many Irish pubs, particularly in rural areas, the measure may be served as a slightly rounded 35ml to 40ml pour depending on the house custom and staff training.
A standard Irish measure of spirits is 35.5ml, set by the Intoxicating Liquor Act. This is the regulated minimum measure for spirits served in licensed Irish premises. For reference, the UK standard measure is 25ml and the standard EU measure varies by country. The larger Irish measure reflects both historical convention and regulatory tradition. When purchasing a single or double in an Irish pub, you are receiving a more generous pour than in most other jurisdictions.
An Irish spirit measure is 35.5ml, the legally mandated minimum pour size for spirits in Irish licensed premises under Irish licensing law. This contrasts with the UK standard of 25ml and the Scottish standard of 25ml or 35ml. The Irish measure is one third larger than the standard UK pour. When comparing spirit consumption across markets, this difference is significant: a single Irish measure is the equivalent of approximately 1.4 standard UK measures.

By comparison: the UK standard is 25ml, and European measures range from 20ml to 40ml depending on the country.
