A limited edition collaboration between Boann Distillery and Rye River Brewing. A number of rye whiskey casks were filled with sweet and malty doppelbock and lagered in casks for 6 months. These were then filled with a blend of single grain and single malt whiskeys (6 year old being the youngest and others up to 16 years old!) which had been matured in rye casks. The result is a fantastic rich and spicy whiskey that offers a malty mouthfeel with rich timber notes unravelling into poached pear and roasted almonds.
