Winner - Best Irish Single Grain - Irish Whiskey Awards 2022! Here we have an exciting release in our highly sought-after and limited edition Celtic Cask series. Celtic Cask Daichead a Do (42) 2009 Anima Negra Grain was distilled in the Republic of Ireland before an initial maturation in a first fill bourbon cask for 7 years. This was followed by 5 years maturation in a 4/5's full 225 litre Anima Negra Mallorcan Red Wine Cask. Expect juicy, caramel toffees, dried fruits, allspice, lots of body, red fruits, strawberries, cola, milk chocolate and vanilla flavours in this one!

Finish Good grip with some nice oak tannins. Lots of spice and richness.
Tasting Notes from the Producer
Aromas (without water) Rich, spicy and warming. Still very much a grain whiskey but lots of toasted spices, dried fruits, chocolate, caramel and creamy fudge.
Flavour Juicy, caramel toffees, dried fruits, allspice, lots of body, red fruits, strawberries, cola, milk chocolate and vanilla.
